Hours after appearing on WWE’s Monday Night Raw and just days removed from being inducted into the company’s Hall of Fame, The Ultimate Warrior passed away on Tuesday at the age of 54.
Warrior’s death was announced by the WWE early Wednesday morning.
Most notably known for defeating Hulk Hogan for the WWE title at WrestleMania VI, Warrior left the company in 1996 but recently signed a Legends contract with the company.
Warrior delivered a passionate speech to the WWE Universe in New Orleans on Monday night, in what turned out to be the final hours of his life.
He is survived by his wife Dana and two children.
