When Vernon Davis isn’t beating up on NFL defenses for the San Francisco 49ers, he is a supporter of United States curling.
Davis, the U.S. curling team’s honorary captain during the Winter Olympics, became interested in the sport through a club in San Jose.
Now, the Pro Bowl tight end is out in Vancouver supporting the United States curling team during the Olympics. He gave the squad a pep talk prior to their victory on Friday against France.
Davis’ transformation into curler deluxe is a part of his plan to rehabilitate his image after the great Mike Singletary incident of 2008. So far, so good.
