At the end of the ’08 season, I’m not sure many pictured Jay Cutler playing in another uniform besides the blue and orange of the Broncos. Nonetheless, it appears that’s where we are headed. Amazingly, Josh McDaniels’ inability to not only keep quiet the Cutler trade rumors but subsequent failure to acquire Matt Cassel may cost the Broncos dearly. Say what you want about Cutler. He may have handled this immaturely but he’s likely to be a better quarterback than anyone the Broncos trot out on opening day for the 2009 season.
