While this week’s honor by all means should go to Eric Mangini for essentially coaching the Cleveland Browns into a loss yesterday, he did get a ton of help from fellow Brown Hank Poteat for PUSHING a receiver out of bounds on a hail mary attempt. Just pure foolishness at its peak but I digress.
The defending Super Bowl champion Pittsburgh Steelers suffered a rough loss at the hands of the Kansas City Chiefs yesterday, 27-24 in overtime. However, the biggest loss may be that of quarterback Ben Roethlisberger, who took a beating yesterday against the Chiefs which culminated in another Ben concussion. Including his motorcycle accident in 2006, that’s number four according to ESPN’s Adam Schefter. Remember, last season he was stretchered off against the Browns after being knocked out.
As Rodney Harrison astutely pointed out on NBC last night, if Pittsburgh’s 7 doesn’t get protection and fast, he will not be around to help the Steelers possibly defend their Super Bowl crown.
