The day of gallows in the NFL has begun. The first man down is Jim Zorn. The Washington Redskins wasted no time this morning and announced that Zorn has been fired as head coach. It is expected that the Redskins will now turn their attention to the two-time Super Bowl winning head coach Mike Shanahan.

Zorn, who handled his situation well, did get the Redskins to play harder during the second half of the season. However, playing hard and winning games must go hand in hand.

Meanwhile, according to reports, Zorn may have company on the unemployment line.
