It’s been an interesting day for two key components from the Dallas Cowboys’ Super Bowl machine of the 90s.
First, Michael Irvin was accused of rape and had a civil lawsuit filed against him on Thursday.
Meanwhile, Irvin’s former coach in Dallas and with the University of Miami, Jimmy Johnson, is set to become a pitch man for the male enhancement product ExtenZe. That’s right, ExtenZe.
Here is a part of Johnson’s pitch:
“Most men want to perform the best they can in just about everything,” Johnson says in one ad. “Isn’t that why we buy the biggest and best of everything?” He also uses the tagline: “Go long with ExtenZe. I do.”
Just glorious.
Luckily for the Cowboys, Emmitt Smith is going to be named to the Hall of Fame tomorrow and that should restore some order in the Cowboys universe…for now.
