We interrupt the NFL offseason to bring you this important message. The Phillies are in Clearwater, Florida and ready for business.
It seems like last week when I watched Hideki Matsui go upper tank on Pedro Martinez in Game 6 of the World Series. Thank goodness for a new season and hopefully, the opportunity to erase the pain.
Most of the usual suspects return (minus Pedro Feliz) for the two-time defending National League Champions including that Halladay fella (by the way, we will miss you Cliff).
While spring training is still a ways off from the stuff that matters, it signals the dream of warm weather, the smell of Citizens Bank Park, and Ryan Howard knocking a baseball out of sight. A thought of another world title does not hurt either.
The last three years have been a dream for Phillies fans. Hopefully, the alarm stays off for a little while longer.
