The Eagles announced a big trade on Friday but it had nothing to do with quarterback Donovan McNabb. Instead, the Eagles dealt cornerback Sheldon Brown and linebacker Chris Gocong to Cleveland for linebacker Alex Hall and draft picks.

As a part of the deal, the Eagles acquired fourth and fifth round picks in the 2010 draft from Cleveland.

It is no coincidence the Eagles did business with the Browns. Cleveland’s new general manager Tom Heckert spent nearly nine years with the Eagles and has plenty of knowledge regarding Philly’s personnel.

As for the other Eagle who might be next to leave, there is nothing new on any trade discussions.
