Even before the Eagles continued Operation Crush Free Agency by signing former Giants receiver Steve Smith, Washington Redskins legend John Riggins wasn’t exactly excited by Rex Grossman’s proclamation that the Skins will win the NFC East.

Moments after posting this tweet, Riggo continued his thoughts by likening Rex Grossman’s comments to the American literary classic “The Little Engine That Could”.

In other words, if Grossman and his teammates believe enough that the Redskins will prevail in the east that yes, it will happen.

Mr. Grossman should be more concerned about beating out John Beck for the starting job and not about the Eagles, Cowboys, and Giants.

The only way Washington wins the NFC East is if…well, there is no way.
