In case you missed it on Saturday night, Floyd “Money” Mayweather scored a controversial fourth round victory over Victor Ortiz after landing two straight punches in what some presumed to be cheap shots.
One of the men who cast a suspicious eye over Mayweather’s actions was HBO boxing analyst and octogenarian Larry Merchant.
During a heated post-fight interview, Mayweather told Merchant that he lacked the required knowledge to be considered a good boxing analyst. Actually, Mayweather used an expletive but this is a family blog.
This led to Merchant telling Mayweather, “I wish I was 50 years younger and I would kick your ass.”
When do we get a face to face interview with them on pay-per-view?
That would be far more interesting than most PPV boxing matches that steal $70 out of your pocket.
