LeSean McCoy is riding high these days.
The Philadelphia Eagles running back showed off a Rolls Royce prior to the start of training camp last week.
Then, he graces the cover of this week’s regionalized Sports Illustrated (alternate covers include Kansas City’s Jamaal Charles, Green Bay’s Eddie Lacy, and UCLA’s Brett Hundley).
Perhaps, that wasn’t his most notable action for Eagles fans. Prior to a Thursday practice, McCoy yelled “I own the Cowboys!”
The comment was potentially more stingy considering former Dallas Cowboys receiver Michael Irvin attended Eagles camp on behalf of the NFL Network.
McCoy’s boast proved true in the season finale when the Eagles won the NFC East title over the Tony Romo-less Cowboys.
Oddly enough, the Eagles haven’t exactly owned the ‘Boys since McCoy entered the league. They are 4-7 versus Dallas since ’09 and split last season.
Meanwhile, McCoy rushed for 131 yards and scored a touchdown against Dallas in en route to leading the Birds to the NFC East title in Week 17.
He’s right, sort of…enough really.
