The Cowboys released cornerback Adam “Pacman” Jones today after a rather tumultuous year with the team. By releasing Jones, the Cowboys will gain $1 million on the salary cap.
In nine games with Dallas, Jones provided little impact defensively and failed to improve Dallas’ punt return unit. He averaged just 4.5 yards per return. Jones’ release flies in the face of his theory that he would be back with Dallas in 2009. Woops.
