Finally, someone has spoken out against Brett Favre’s crazy campaign to join the Minnesota Vikings. Interestingly enough, it is coming from the greatest quarterback in Vikings history, Fran Tarkenton. In a recent interview, Tarkenton expressed his displeasure with the Favre situation, calling his actions “despicable”.

Also, he’s not very fond of a Packer making his way as a Viking. By the way, it’s interesting that Tarkenton would complain about Favre’s histrionics because he is the same that forced Minnesota to trade him back in the mid 60s because he didn’t like head coach Norm Van Brocklin.

While he is right perhaps about Favre and the media’s lack of desire to criticize him, perhaps Tarkenton isn’t the right to express views on this topic.

Today, the former Giants and Vikings quarterbacked continued his rant but in the process of explaining himself regarding the Favre dilemma, he managed to slam analyst Marcellus Wiley, who criticized Tarkenton’s comments.
