Granted, it’s only one game but still…what a game it was. Cliff Lee dominated the Yankees in a 6-1 win. The most impressive part of his performance was the considerable ease in which he did it with. As illustrated in this picture from the700level.com, it was simply child’s play for the 2008 Cy Young winner. A special assist goes to Chase Utley, who became just the second left handed batter to homer twice off of a left handed pitcher in a World Series game. The other? George Herman Ruth. That’s pretty fair company to be in. Perhaps now, national pundits and Yankees fans realize the Phillies are here and that they mean business.
