The Ravens needed to run the ball effectively to win…and they didn’t. Peyton Manning, who is undergoing his third name change of the season (went from Peyton Manning to “The Sheriff” and to “18”), did enough (2 TDs) to hold off the Ravens in a 20-3 victory in the AFC Divisional playoffs.

Joe Flacco played another underwhelming game by going 20 of 35 for 189 yards and throwing two interceptions in the process. Meanwhile, Ray Rice averaged five yards per carry but was relatively ineffective.

You know, the Colts get away with murder. They can’t run the ball, struggle to make big plays offensively, and have a defense that is the proverbial bend but don’t break unit.

It will be interesting to see what happens when the Colts run up against a good passing offense. Houston ranked number one in the league but weren’t as battle tested as Indy. New England went head up with the Colts and we know how that went.

Colts Nation can breathe easy tonight but they aren’t out of the woods yet. Onto the AFC title game for the Colts, who will host either San Diego or the Jets next Sunday.
