The largest United States television audience ever saw the Saints stun the Indianapolis Colts in Super Bowl XLIV on Sunday.

Estimates report 106.5 million people viewed Drew Brees and the Saints winning the franchise’s first Super Bowl. The record-setting mark bested the 1983 series finale of M*A*S*H*, which drew 105.97 million viewers.

Last season, 98.7 million people watched the Pittsburgh Steelers claim its sixth Super Bowl during a 27-23 win over the Arizona Cardinals.
