According to numerous sources, Steelers wide receiver Santonio Holmes is facing a four-game suspension for violating the league’s substance abuse policy. That is interesting news considering he had the potential assault charge from a woman in Florida hanging over his head at one point.

It appears though that Holmes’ run-in with the substance abuse policy could be Twitter related. He recently tweeted that it was “time to wake n bake”. To the unaware, that refers to one using marijuana.

Was Holmes talking about baking cookies or cakes instead maybe? Well, if you go by his previous history, that might be a bit unlikely.

Even though it appears Ben Roethlisberger might get a pass from the legal system on Monday, he’ll have to answer to Big Roger at some point as it appears Holmes will have to as well.

Could the Steelers possibly open the 2010 season without both Roethlisberger and Holmes in the lineup? Woah.
