Former Pittsburgh Steelers quarterback Terry Bradshaw is often accused of being silly on FOX’s NFL Sunday pregame show. However, Bradshaw showed a different face today when he talked about his relationship – and lack thereof – with Steelers quarterback Ben Roethlisberger.
During a press conference earlier today, Bradshaw answered a question regarding his relationship with Roethlisberger:
“When I told him to park the motorcycle, he got pissed. Then he had the accident. Ever since then, he doesn’t like me, and I’m learning not to like him. And he wants to break all my records and I say ‘go for it.’ Break them. I really don’t care. I’ve done my job. My job is over and now you have your shot. But in my opinion, he has got to realize who he is. He is an elite athlete in the National Football League. You’ve got an image problem right now. The best thing to do is not put yourself in that position again. When you’re through playing football, you can do whatever you want to do, but right now, stay clean.”
Those are very telling words and brings about another point perhaps. Where are the Big Ben supporters? Yep. You can’t really find many and rightfully so.
It is very evident that Roethlisberger has ticked off the Steeler family (and management in particular) one time too many.
His icy relationship with a Hall of Fame quarterback who is one of the greatest winners in the history of the sport is just another example of him failing to listen to someone…anyone for that matter.
He needs to pick a different course of life action. It is obvious that Ben’s way of doing things off the field does not work.
