It seems that the Donovan McNabb/Eagles relationship is still being carried through the media. The latest news comes today via Mc5, who apologized to Eagles fans for his inability to lead Philly to a Super Bowl victory.

During an interview on a Philadelphia sports talk radio station, McNabb was remorseful that he failed to get the Birds over the hump:

“I look back — the things that I set out that I wanted to accomplish and bring back to Philadelphia I wasn’t able to, and I apologize more than anything to the people of Philadelphia, not bringing that Super Bowl to them.”

Sadly, the apology or 100 apologies will not cool the passionate and sometimes savage Eagles fanbase.

Look, I get that it’s tough to totally cut ties with a town that you played in for 11 seasons. However, there comes a point in time where you just have to move on. Stop issuing apologies. Stop responding to DeSean Jackson popping off about not missing you.

Unfortunately, as we detailed sometime ago, McNabb’s inability to let things slide or to move on which seems to be an issue with him.

It’s over. Move on.

McNabb’s teammates are likely to appreciate him more if he focuses on the task at hand; not the task that went unfulfilled in Philadelphia.
