A tardy edition of Music Monday finds us paying a visit to Dallas Cowboys wide receiver Patrick Crayton.

Ultimately, Crayton is upset at how the Cowboys have dealt with him as of late and it appears the recent drafting on Dez Bryant is the final straw.

In a recent radio interview, Crayton expressed his concerns:

“I would love to have the opportunity to compete with another team versus [coming] here [to Dallas again] for a numbers thing where they’re like, ‘Oh, we’re not going to pay you that to be our fourth or fifth guy,’ or whatever the situation is and you kept me the whole training camp because you need camp bodies.

To me, you’re messing with people’s careers and people’s lives.”

Can you really blame the Cowboys for taking Bryant? It was an opportunity for the Cowboys to improve themselves at a position where they need depth and another solid option besides Miles Austin.

The problem isn’t entirely stemming from a diminished role for Crayton. Instead, he seems to be worried about a diminishing paycheck.

The Cowboys will not a number four receiver $2 million…nor should they.

Therefore, Patrick’s song these days stems from a band that originated out of Canton, Ohio….The O’Jays.
