If you remember, sometime after the NFL season ended, we posted a few suggestions on things to do during the NFL’s offseason. Well, we have arrived to the NBA’s main event…the NBA Finals.

Talking to a friend of mine earlier, he said he has next to no interest in the Finals because of the matchup. It bores him and he’d rather watch the Suns.

False.

I love the people who say they’d watch if Phoenix, Orlando, or Utah made it and they don’t care about this matchup. The people who will not watch this series wouldn’t watch if Bill Russell and the late Wilt Chamberlain stepped on the Staples Center’s floor tonight in their primes.

This is one of the great rivalries in sports and should be a great series. Enjoy it.

To those who detest the NBA, turn on HBO tonight. I hear Bill & Ted’s Bogus Journey is on during the game. I hear it will be a hoot.

Oh and one more thing. Anytime these two teams get together, it gives me the excuse to show this…
