NFL training camps will be in full swing by the end of this week and already Cowboys rookie receiver Dez Bryant is stirring the pot – and perhaps, rightfully so.
Bryant refused to carry the pads of teammate and fellow receiver Roy Williams after Sunday’s team practice. To the unaware, it is common practice in NFL training camps for rookies to be hazed or be asked to perform some rather menial tasks for the vets.
For example, they are asked to get donuts or sing college fight songs (or Sweat by Inner Circle).
For his refusal to do it, Bryant is beginning to draw comparisons to Terrell Owens.
Dez, I wouldn’t carry Roy Williams’s pads either. Well done.
