In an e-mail to ESPN’s Ed Werder, Brett Favre said the Green Bay Packers “will win it all.”
Favre, Green Bay’s starting quarterback from 1992 to 2007, heaped glowing praise upon the Packers for their play lately.
“[Packers QB] Aaron [Rodgers] is the best QB and the receiving corps is the best ever, maybe. But [defensive coordinator] Dom [Capers] and the defense gets the MVP award at this stage.”
He continued by saying that he is very happy for the team and is not bitter towards the organization.
By the way, for those looking to avoid a Favre-a-thon during the Super Bowl, how many times will Favre’s name get mentioned leading up to a possible Jets/Packers meeting?
Also, our old gunslingin’ friend made news earlier in the day by filing his retirement papers.
He just will not go away quietly.
