It’s Always Winning In Philadelphia

As I stare longingly at this photo, I’m reminded of one person…Green Bay Packers linebackers coach Kevin Greene.

During Super Bowl XLV, Greene delivered a short and concise speech to linebacker Clay Matthews during the second half.

“It is time…it is time,” Greene said.

Soon after, Matthews forced a fumble of Rashard Mendenhall to lead to one of the Super Bowl’s definitive plays.

Greene’s message is very fitting for the Phils’ upcoming season.

Once people bring up the Big Four, Phantastic Four, Phab Phour, or Grandmaster Dubee and the Furious Four (ok, no one is calling them that), my thoughts immediately drift towards October and the fun that potentially looms.

WhatIfSports.com has already picked the Phillies to win the World Series over the Red Sox through its season simulation.

I’m brought back to reality though by the notion of having J.C. Romero, no Chad Durbin, and a potential lack of bullpen depth.

Also, we don’t have a right handed power-hitter any longer since Washington decided to fork over a king’s ransom to Jayson Werth.

Regardless, it’s a parade on Broad Street or bust.

It is time. It is time.
