When Madden ’13 hits the shelves this summer, a pair of new voices will serve as the backdrop to the popular video game.

According to EA Sports, Jim Nantz and Phil Simms of CBS Sports will replace Gus Johnson and Cris Collinsworth as the official voices of the Madden franchise.

It will be intriguing to see if their is any significant backlash from hardcore Madden fans over the departure of Johnson, who is one of the most popular sports broadcasters in the States.

Sadly, Mr. Rise and Fire will not be rising or firing 0n the Madden franchise any time soon.
