Tuesday night’s Hard Knocks showcased one of the top moments in the series’ history as Chad Johnson was released by Dolphins head coach Joe Philbin, following the receiver’s domestic violence arrest last Saturday.

The conversation between Philbin and Johnson ranged from cordial to awkward but effectively hit the mark.

After mentioning several times throughout the show that he had a clean record, Johnson’s streak of goodwill ran out in a public manner.
