Ed Hochuli and his pythons have found their way to the cover of the latest Sports Illustrated. 

This is a proud moment for officials in every major sport because it actually depicts our sports on-field/court law enforcers in a way that doesn’t show them being incompetent.

On the other hand, it’s a bad day for replacement officials.

Essentially, the NFL replacement refs were so poor at their job that it forced SI to put a referee on the cover to indirectly celebrate their dismissal.

It’s not the cultural significance of a pro wrestler making the cover of SI but it’s somewhat important.
