McDonalds announced a new addition to its famous menu just in time for football season that potentially will adjust America’s waistline.

The fast-food franchise will introduce chicken wings to its customers in the Fall. Already boasting chicken nuggets, the wings will be available in three, five, and 10 pieces beginning at $2.99.

The addition of “Mighty Wings” to menu is in conjunction with the partnership between McDonald’s and the National Football League.

Scott Hume of the BurgerBusiness blog calls the move a potential competitive strike against Kentucky Fried Chicken.

Mighty Wings debuts on September 9 and is expected to be available throughout the nation by September 24. They will only be available through November.

Of course, one of the most important parts of chicken wings is your selection of sauces. Nine sauces will be available including spicy buffalo.
