A recent published article about Skittles stated that the candy stood to make $5 million from an appearance by Marshawn Lynch and the Seattle Seahawks in the Super Bowl due to the runner’s propensity to eat the hard shell candy throughout games.
Thus, it wasn’t surprising that Skittles announced that Lynch and the Seahawks were the inspiration for a “Seattle Mix” version.
The special pack will be available for auction on Wednesday and will be available in Seattle only.
Also, Skittles will donate $10,000 to Lynch’s Fam 1st Family Foundation for every touchdown he scores on Sunday.
Meanwhile, the Cal product will be rewarded financially in the agreement with Skittles.
Perhaps he would have mentioned this during Tuesday’s Super Bowl Media Day but he opted to not say much – again.
