The NFL’s post-college meat market is in session as coaches and front office executives aim to figure out who will lead their teams into the future.
While this is an exercise in futility to a degree, the true highlight comes when NFL Network anchor Rich Eisen runs the 40-yard dash against the league’s up-and-coming prospects.
This year, Eisen managed to run a 5.98 according to the stopwatch of colleague Mike Mayock.
Following the run, analyst Charles Davis offered a comparison to numerous players including Dri Archer (who ran a 4.26), Jadeveon Clowney, Johnny Manziel, and “Irish Chocolate” Louis Nix.
Suffice to say, Eisen’s 5.98 run time is a triumph for slow people everywhere.
