The DeSean Jackson era in Philadelphia is over.
Friday marked the end of Jackson’s rocky tenure in Philadelphia as the Eagles officially announced his release.
A second-round pick out of Cal in 2008, Jackson was starting year three of his five-year, $51 million contract.
While Jackson’s on-field exploits have grown inconsistent over the last few seasons, his off-field doings could be a concern moving forward after a recent article pinning him to gang activity.
Yesterday, former teammate Michael Vick suggested perhaps it was time for a change in Jackson’s career.
It’ll be interesting to see if another NFL team is willing to grant him that chance.
