NFL Stars Attend Nerd Prom, AKA The White House Correspondents’ Dinner

ShermanWH

While Tom Brady and friends were stylin’ and profilin’ at the Kentucky Derby on Saturday, other NFL stars spent time in Washington at the annual White House Correspondents’ Dinner.

Seattle Seahawks cornerback Richard Sherman, a Super Bowl champion and the world’s top Michael Crabtree hater, was among several NFL players that were invited to the dinner hosted by comedian Joel McHale.

Other NFL types included Super Bowl winning quarterback (and newly divorced) Russell Wilson; Houston Texans defensive end J.J. Watt; and Dallas Cowboys quarterback Tony Romo.

Dubbed the “nerd prom,” the White House Correspondents’ Dinner allows President Barack Obama to rub elbows with celebrities including the dude from the Dos Equis commercials (pictured above with Sherman).

RussWilsonAs we learned a few years ago during the NFL lockout, the White House Correspondents’ Dinner isn’t a bad place to be seen.

Greatness lurks.
