The Washington Redskins mortgaged their franchise in the 2012 NFL Draft to grab highly touted quarterback Robert Griffin III.
However, after another injury suffered by RGIII on Sunday, it appears that gamble will not pay long-term dividends.
During the first half of Washington’s 41-10 win over Jacksonville, Griffin scrambled to throw and in the process, dislocated his ankle.
Early reports state that he may miss the rest of the 2014 season.
In the same game, teammate DeSean Jackson left with an apparent arm injury and he will likely miss extended time as well.
It’s not good to be a Washington Redskin football player these days.
