If I polled 100 NFL fans and asked them to name the starting quarterback least likely to attend a viewing of the “erotic” film Fifty Shades of Grey, Russell Wilson probably wins in a landslide.

Oddly enough, Wilson did indeed take in the film that set box office records last weekend by raking in over $80 million, according to his Twitter account.

Considering Wilson’s very public religious beliefs, his fans were somewhat outraged that he took time out to watch the movie – which used Seattle as a primary backdrop

Wilson offered an explanation to answer his critics.
