As soon as Packers tight end Brandon Bostick botched the now-infamous onside kick that helped land Seattle back in the Super Bowl and then basically said he went rogue on the play, he had little chance of re-joining the Pack in 2015.
The Packers parted ways with Bostick on Tuesday.
Bostick made note of the move on Twitter.
A backup tight end with Green Bay last season, Bostick will go down in Packers infamy as the guy who stepped in front of teammate Jordy Nelson and fumbled away an onside kick recovery.
Bostick’s gaffe led to a Seattle recovery and the Seahawks eventually winning the NFC Championship after it appeared Green Bay was all but a shoe-in at the start of the fourth quarter.
It’s a shame that Bostick was used as the fall guy for Green Bay’s demise. He didn’t act alone but as soon as Seattle won, it became very evident that Bostick was living on borrowed time in Green Bay.
