The demise of the NFL has been greatly exaggerated.
Green Bay’s last-second win over the Dallas Cowboys on Sunday was seen by over 48 million people – the most people ever to see an NFL Divisional playoff game.
According to FOX and Nielsen Fast Nationals, the game drew 48.5 million viewers. It’s the biggest audience to watch a television program since Denver topped Carolina in Super Bowl 50 last February.
The ratings roll will likely continue this weekend with a pair of conference championship games (Green Bay/Atlanta and Pittsburgh/New England) that features some of the game’s elite quarterbacks.
