The NFL and NFLPA have reached an agreement…to extend the CBA for seven more days. Now, both sides have through March 11 to reach an agreement. This marks extension number two. Well, I suppose it could be worse. Lockout averted, for now.
The NFL and NFLPA agreed upon a 24-hour extension of the current collective bargaining agreement on Thursday. According to numerous sources, the extension allows both sides to examine prospective deals past the original deadline of Thursday at 11:59 p.m. ET.
Cross your fingers and pray for a CBA resolution before midnight eastern time…or at the very least, an extension.
The NFL stands nearly 24 hours away from the end of its collective bargaining agreement and perhaps, the beginning of a lockout. Players are starting to feel the heat according to a report out of Philadelphia.
