While Kurt Warner is saying that he’ll need some time to mull things over, the Arizona Republic is singing a different tune. One of the hold ups over Warner’s potential return is a new contract from the Cardinals, which should be a relatively easy decision for a team that is $40 million under the cap. Warner, who will be 38 by opening day, is also considering retirement after appearing in his third Super Bowl.
Historically, the Bidwell family isn’t a thrifty bunch. Yet, Warner helped guide them to a Super Bowl which never happened in franchise history. That has to count for something doesn’t it?
