According to ESPN’s Adam Schefter, Pete Carroll is the new head coach of the Seattle Seahawks. Carroll will leave his post as the head coach of USC to coach the Seahawks after a decade long hiatus from the NFL.
When we last saw Carroll in the NFL, he coached the New England Patriots, leading them to the playoffs in 1997 and ’98 before finishing 8-8 in ’99. After getting fired following the ’99 season, Carroll landed at USC in 2001 and won two national titles during his stay with USC.
Once the Seahawks fired Jim Mora on Friday, reports flooded that Carroll had mutual interest in joining the Seahawks. He could be introduced as head coach, as soon as Monday. By the way, how is that Rooney Rule doing?
