Video of the Day: Turnovers (and Bad Officiating) Doom Vikings

Here is a look at two of the decisive officiating calls from yesterday’s Vikings-Saints tilt. Missing from this reel is the Robert Meachem “catch”. Anyhow, not a good morning to be a Vikings fan.

  1. A fumble is the loss of player possession of the ball. Thomas didn’t lose possession of the ball. His right hand is still cupping the bottom of it.

Regarding PI, the penalized action took place before the replay camera got over to Thomas/Leber, though you cut it out of the video. Though it was called PI, it was more akin to defensive holding/chucking past 5 yds-type fouls

  2. wow, talk about a jaded MIN fan.

vikes lost, live with it. if your team could count to 11 there never would have been an overtime
