Here is a bit of useless trivia. One Shining Moment was supposed to be used not for the NCAA tourney but for the Super Bowl. It was set to debut back in 1987 during the postgame coverage of Super Bowl XXI between the Giants and Broncos. CBS ran out of airtime and decided to save it for another day. Good call.
