The Vikings-Saints rivalry is reaching new heights thanks to Minnesota tight end Visanthe Shiancoe.
The picture above was created by Shiancoe regarding Sharper and his recent comments about Brett Favre’s ankle.
Of course, the best part of this war of words is the platform…Twitter. Shiancoe posted this pic on Twitter and added a caption saying “X- marks the spot. Loved the idea, ehhh so I went for it.”
Sharper’s response came through the same platform. Suffice to say, the Saints safety was none too pleased and expressed his frustration via a tweet.
ok homeboy you done went too far, making me out to be something that has brought this country alot of heartache. Imma bust you right under your chinstrap from the first play on. I don’t care about the fine. F the money Imma do it for the red, white & blue. And you’ll see me cuz I’ll be dressed in black & gold. Protect your neck that’s all the warning you get.
As if the impending return of you know who to play quarterback for Minnesota isn’t enough, now we have some genuine heat between two players, which these days seems rather uncommon.
So, when Sharper takes a 15-yard penalty on opening night for hitting Shiancoe late, just remember that he is doing it for America.
I would assume this is where Sean Payton or Brad Childress step in to start slapping some wrists.
Until they do, let’s hope this continues. It will make the season opener in New Orleans all the more enjoyable.
