Green Bay received help from two unlikely sources in their 21-16 win over the Philadelphia Eagles on Sunday.
Running back James Starks set a Packer rookie playoff record with 123 yards. Meanwhile, Philly’s normally reliable kicker David Akers missed a pair of field goals (34 & 41 yarders).
Aaron Rodgers also tossed three touchdown passes in the win. His counterpart was not as lucky.
Michael Vick’s efforts (292 yards passing, TD) were not enough as he was intercepted in the end zone by Green Bay cornerback Tramon Williams late in the fourth quarter.
Days earlier, Kobe Bryant gave Vick an autographed Lakers jersey that suggested that the Eagles quarterback “be epic.”
Instead, Vick and the Eagles will watch someone else try to do it.
