Man Day Alert: Wrestlemania Arrives

We’re hours away from one of the premiere Man Day events of the year in my opinion, Wrestlemania.

To commemorate this event, we go back to April 5, 1992.

Back in ’92, Wrestlemania started on Sunday afternoon and as a result, I decided to be a bad teammate by skipping baseball practice due to “illness.”

I didn’t want to miss out on Ric Flair versus Randy Savage and Hulk Hogan’s “retirement” match.

Thus, I figured it was a far better option to watch one of my heroes than shagging fly balls as a utility outfielder on my little league team.*

Anyhow, during this pre-match interview, Flair and Mr. Perfect verbally run down Savage and his wife, Elizabeth in one of the great promos in wrestling history.

The dastardly duo threatened to display a salacious centerfold pic of Miss Elizabeth on the big screen at the Hoosier Dome in Indianapolis.

Near the end of the interview, Flair says that Elizabeth will have one last shot at Space Mountain (a euphemism for his male region).

Mr. Perfect gleefully responded by asking if he can watch their encounter.

God rest his soul but what a perv.

*Editor’s Note: If memory serves correct, I hit under .200 during this same season; thus, effectively ending my baseball career at the tender age of 12.
