Earlier this week, a pair of Eagles beat writers got into a fight on Twitter (happens a lot these days, no?) and then, things turned physical.
Les Bowen of the Philadelphia Daily News and Jeff McLane of the Philadelphia Inquirer got into a Twitter battle after McLane’s initial report claiming Michael Vick would start on Sunday versus San Francisco.
Bowen claimed any reports of Vick starting were sheer guessing due to Eagles head coach Andy Reid stating he wasn’t quite sure about his starting quarterback’s availability.
After the diss, McLane felt he was being singled out and the fun began.
Bowen confronted Lane at the media room of the Eagles team facility. A reported Bowen punch/slap of McLane ensued.
Just think. If the Eagles offensive line was better at keeping heat off of Vick, this fight probably never happens.
On second thought, who am I kidding?
Those media types sure are surly and protective of their image. It was only a matter of time before some sort of sword-crossing occurred.
