The DeSean Jackson-Josh Scobee Twitter Battle The World Has Waited For

During Sunday night’s Vince Young-a-thon at MetLife Stadium, Eagles receiver DeSean Jackson once again made a spectacle of himself by taunting Giants defensive coordinator Perry Fewell by flipping a ball at him.

Then, after receiving the taunting penalty, Jackson bumped an official (somewhat similar to the LeBron James/Erik Spoelstra fiasco in Dallas last November).

Evidently, Jaguars kicker Josh Scobee took exception to Jackson’s actions and tweeted on Sunday night that the mouthy receiver was a “punk” and a “bastard.”

Not to be outdone, Jackson referred to Scobee as “lil boi status” as a nod to the kicker’s perceived miniscule stature.

Scobee later apologized for his comments but he does bring up a point.

As an Eagles fan, what Jackson did last Sunday night was so foolish and arrogant that it makes me hope that this season is his last in green and white.

Yes, he is a big part of the team’s offensive success but his burgeoning ego conjures up too many memories of Terrell Owens for my liking.

Plus, his behavior and impact on the team no longer work together. He is upset about his lack of a “playmaker” contract but yet has only 35 receptions this season and a pair of touchdowns.

Preach on Brother Scobee.
