During Buffalo’s 28-24 loss to the Jets on Sunday, Bills wide receiver Stevie Johnson caught a touchdown pass and then decided it was a fine idea to mock Santonio Holmes and the Plaxico Burress shooting.
After the absurd celebration, Johnson was flagged for unsportsmanlike conduct, which promptly led to New York tying the game at 14.
In a bit of football justice, Johnson dropped a wide open pass on the game’s critical drive during the fourth quarter.
Ultimately, his drop played a pivotal role in Buffalo’s loss.
After the game, Johnson apologized but his rocky day at MetLife Stadium may have officially been the final stake into Buffalo’s heart this season.
