Eagles quarterback Michael Vick attended his first baseball game on Monday – albeit an awful one – in Philadelphia.
Vick was in attendance for Philadelphia’s 6-2 loss to the Miami Marlins at Citizens Bank Park and expressed his concerns over the offensively-challenged Phillies on Twitter.
Considering the Atlanta Braves reached the playoffs during Vick’s first five years as a Falcon and the Phillies have been perennial postseason participants since his arrival to Philly, it’s rather surprising that he never went to a baseball game.
While there is a reasonable explanation for his absence from Citizens Bank Park as of late, I’m lost on the Atlanta side.
Did he not care about the Braves?
Was he ever invited?
Did he disagree with Bobby Cox’s managerial style?
Did he become disenchanted with the Braves after they lost a 2-1 series lead to the Giants during the National League Division Series in 2002?
Odd.
