A couple of weeks ago, I spent 1,772 words extolling the virtues of then-birthday boy Tom Brady; alas, typing more than a sentence of Timothy’s birthday seemed pointless.
Then of course, he popped up on the cover of an upcoming GQ for the magazine’s NFL preview piece.
Tebow is featured shirtless in the magazine because….well, he enjoys the publicity.
Where guys like Drew Brees, Tom Brady, and Peyton Manning do their talking on the field.
Perhaps, Tebow realizes he can’t do that yet…or ever. That’s why we see the shirtless photos and other strategic events done to push along the Tebow brand.
I consider him the most irrelevant, relevant NFL star ever.
Few players have accomplished less and received greater acclaim. Yet, he is back for another season of fumbling, wildcatting, incomplete pass throwin’ fun.
Nonetheless, he’s a fun part of the league…sort of.
In related Timothy news, I’m happy to announce that Year 2 of Tebowing Gets Tagged will happen.
If you missed the first year, here is a look.
