Brady, Patriots Best Peyton’s Broncos

After banging Buffalo for 45 second-half points in Week 4, the Patriots continued their offensive role by subduing an old foe on Sunday.

Peyton Manning’s Broncos fell 31-21 in Foxborough in the latest chapter of one of the NFL’s great rivalries.

Brady threw for only 223 yards but threw a touchdown pass and added a scoring run as well.

New England’s rushing attack provided plenty of support. Stevan Ridley rushed for 151 of New England’s 252 yards rushing.

As for Manning, he riddled the Patriots for 345 yards and three scores but too many mistakes by Peyton and Willis McGahee, led to Denver’s ultimate demise.

For Brady, his all-time record versus Peyton improves to 9-4.

Now, if he could only do something about that other Manning.

In other related news, whenever Brady and Peyton get together, we’re likely to see more Manning Face.
